Due to a combination of internal progression and growth of the business we require an experienced Technical Consultant to join a well-established and busy team. The candidate will have a firm background working within a busy MSP or Technical IT Team, solid experience in troubleshooting customer issues and a clear and analytical approach to problem solving. The primary job function is providing technical support in a fast paced and varied Managed Service Desk environment.

Experience will be considered equally as important as qualifications but the following will be beneficial if backed up by relevant experience: MCSE, CCA, VCP.


Knowledge of the following is essential:

  1. MS Windows 2003/08/12. MS Exchange 2007/2010/2013, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS.
  2. Networking – SonicWall or similar
  3. Server hardware, RAID, SAN, iSCSI, Fibre
  4. MS Office 2007/2010/2013, MS Windows XP/Vista/7/8, Desktop and Laptop hardware.


Knowledge of the following is highly desirable:

  1. Citrix XenApp
  2. Remote Desktop Services
  3. Remote Web Workplace
  4. VPN connectivity
  5. Disaster Recovery solution experience
  6. VMWare
  7. Sophos Anti-Virus, Symantec Anti-Virus



This role is for an experienced Technical Consultant with infrastructure project delivery experience. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, you will deliver infrastructure projects to client businesses, mainly in the NW but also throughout the UK.



We are seeking a dynamic individual who enjoys a fast paced, team environment. The ability to communicate clearly with clients and work well within a team structure are crucial to this role. Additionally, you will have:

  1. Senior Infrastructure Engineer experience and a desire to improve your technical skillset
  2. A ‘can-do’ attitude
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written – crucial
  4. First-class diagnostic and problem solving skills
  5. Enviable customer service skills with a positive face to face and telephone manner

You must: Be a car owner with a full clean driving licence and live within a commutable distance of Daresbury, Cheshire.
